Program Management
- Provided leadership and direction for 1992
Eldorado and Seville programs, the most successful programs in
recent GM history. Resolved cost, timing and quality tradeoffs
and executed the program on time and under budget.
- Executed major exterior appearance change
for the 1988 Eldorado in 55 weeks; a 66% reduction in lead-time.
- Planned and successfully implemented a new
$318 million flexible engine plant.
- Developed, implemented and considered one
of the "Fathers" of simultaneous engineering and vehicle
team concepts which were key strategies in winning the Malcolm
Baldrige award.
Manufacturing Management
- Managed manufacturing staff activities including
strategic planning, process, industrial and facilities engineering
for seven GM plants.
- Rescued stamping supplier from the brink
of bankruptcy by reorganizing financing and manufacturing process.
- Provided impetus for performance turnaround
of Cadillac manufacturing activities in press, assembly and engine
plants.
- Implemented a project cost and timing process
that eliminated cost overruns and late implementations.
- Reorganized manufacturing staff activities
resulting from GM reorganization.
- Managed press metal and plastics plant with
1,200 people, turning historic losses to over $1 million profit
and implementing employee involvement activities.
