After thirty-eight years of diversified automotive experience with General Motors Corporation, encompassing both domestic and international responsibilities, my short-term objectives are flexible. Due to my visionary management, risk-taking, and people skills, I have been assigned high-profile, volatile and challenging assignments throughout my GM career. SIGNIFICANT ASSIGNMENTS/RECOGNITIONS

• 1995 Transferred to North American Operations as General Director of Operations for the International Product Center in Detroit, Michigan. Major accomplishment was being a member of the Executive Team that planned, staffed, and implemented the consolidation of all North American exports of completed vehicles and parts kits to international customers. Reduced delivery time of vehicles by over 50%.
• 1993 Transferred to International Staff as General Director of Canadian Export Operations and member of GMCL Strategy Board. Major accomplishment was the reorganization of the team that turned around this business unit from an inefficient, high cost, and non-customer responsive team into an aggressive, efficient, competitive cost, and highly motivated team. Reduced delivery cycle and costs by over 50%. Primary markets of contact were Venezuela, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia, and China.
• Corporate Quality presenter at NAES European Dealer Meeting held at Paris, France.
• Transferred to Corporate Staff to identify international customer quality requirements and coordinate improvements across disciplines within General Motors. Major accomplishment was the recognition by GM dealers/customers throughout the world that GM is listening and improving the quality of North American delivered vehicles. Primary markets of contact were Asia/Pacific, Europe, Scandinavia, Israel, Middle East, Africa, Russia, Puerto Rico, and Central America.
• Major presenter at International Logistics Conference at Saarbruken, West Germany. Submitted as General Motors representative by Adam Opel AG.
• Transferred to Staff as Director of Material and Production Control to plan, build, and start-up new Cadillac Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan. Major accomplishment was the daily in-sequence delivery of over 3,000 parts "just-in-time" along with major reduction of normal overall inventory dollar value. State-of-the-art material, logistics and scheduling systems were developed, implemented, and debugged.
• Appointed to Kentucky State Board of Directors – Boy Scouts of America.
• Transferred to Staff as Director of Material and Production Control to plan, build, and start-up new Corvette Assembly Plant in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Major accomplishment was the smooth transition of operations from St. Louis into a just-in-time material process utilizing new team concepts.
• Recipient of General Motors Gold Award for Community Service.
• Elected to the Board of Education of a large suburban St. Louis School District (30,000 students – 32 schools).
• Transferred to St. Louis Assembly Plant during difficult merger of Fisher Body and Chevrolet organization due to my production knowledge and hourly employee relations skills.
• Transferred to Production at Linden Assembly Plant due to difficult introduction of Cadillac into Linden’s production process.
