firm specializing in assisting automotive suppliers with strategic
and operational management needs. Specific assignments have included:
- The Griffin Companies: European market research and
operational feasibility analysis for a company specializing in
sequence delivery and quality services to the Automotive Industry.
- Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency: Assisted the
Dutch Government with strategic planning for economic development
in the Automotive Industry.
- US Farathane Corporation: Provided recruiting assistance
and company expansion and reorganization consulting to a specialty
injection molding firm.
- Cambridge Corporation: Developed a strategic manufacturing
plan and site selection analysis for a $60,000,000 Mexican expansion.
General Manager of Plastics and Electronics Divisions
Director of Corporate Planning and Development; Pilot, Industries,
Inc. 1992-1996
Responsible for two operating divisions and strategic planning,
sales and marketing for a major automotive fuel system supplier.
- Corporate sales increased from $54 to $170 million during
period associated with firm.
- Developed a process for sales and facility planning and annual
Corporate Business Plan.
- Coordinated site selection and construction of new facility
in Saltillo, Mexico which was completed on time and on budget.
- Selected site and launched a Technical Center in Basildon,
England.
- Successfully acquired and integrated a computer software
company into the Electronics division.
- Reorganized a plastic injection molding operation resulting
in a significant increase in throughput and profit.

General Manager, U. S. Plastics - Quick Connector Group
1986-1991
Started operation to produce special plastic and metal tube
fittings. Operation functioned as manufacturing entity and a licensing
entity for foreign patent rights under a joint venture capital
structure.
- Recruited and hired all employees for the firm.
- Launched metal and plastic processing and automated assembly
process with FMVS level quality.
- Directed team that developed sales contracts totaling $4.1
million in 1990 and $8.1 million in 1991.
- Established overseas licensees in Europe and Japan.
